Dear Meridee Moore

Thank you for being an inspiration to young women in finance. As the Chief Investment Officer at your family office, Watershed Asset Management, L.L.C., you have proven that there is a path for women to reach the highest levels in the world of Finance. After receiving a JD from Yale Law School, you decided that you wanted to use your skills in business, specifically in investment banking, and made the jump to Lehman Brothers. Working in the industry at a time when women were scarce, you went on to join the hedge fund Farallon Capital Management, where you became a Partner and one of only two female Portfolio Managers. When founding Watershed as a credit-oriented hedge fund, you worked to ensure that over half your firm was female, promoting qualified women to the highest ranks. As a leader in the industry, you have also taken time to teach university classes to show further that women are and should be, represented in finance and investment banking. For young women aspiring to join the industry, you are a role model. We thank you for paving the way for future generations.
